Whistling Away
Well, we made it down to Kelowna today to get ready for the big meetings with the specialists tomorrow at 12:50 and 3pm. My good friend, Dan Barber, drove Esther and I down here. That's so special because we could both rest and bug Dan at the same time.I had a great sleep last night and feel pretty good right now. I have to admit that I am a little nervous about the meetings tomorrow. I am so glad that Esther is with me. She has been such a huge help and encouragement to me. We are staying at Corwin Smid's parents tonight. Thanks Corwin for sharing! We listened alot to Keith Green music on the way down. His music is so inspiring and uplifting, not to mention focused on God's Word.
I have to say that I have been so blessed by the comments people have left on this blog. It really is neat to be connected to friends and family while going through this very bizarre time.Special thanks to Todd Hale for setting up this blog for me and putting in some pictures.I had a call today from our friend Lori from YFC/Calgary. It was great to hear from her and know that the whole YFC gang is praying lots for us. Anyhow, I better get to bed and start some heavy duty snoring.(sorry Esther) Bye for now, Tim

Tim just wanted to let you know we are following your journey...This is great, to be able to read what is going on daily with you. Great to hear Ester is with you, to see the specialists tomorrow. Thoughts are with you. Shirley, Andy & Steven.
Hi Tim and Ester
Just to let you know that Dave and I are praying for you. We know for a fact that all things are possible with GOD so we praying for a miracle to happen. We do not understand why these things happen to the children of GOD but we know that every second of our lives is in GOD's awesome control. The enemy wants to destroy us but our love for GOD is much more powerful. The enemy may succeed in destroying this earthly body but our message will always continue on. I think of Jeremy and how still today we hear of people who were greatly touched and their lives changed by his undying love for CHRIST.
We don't know what the future holds for you Tim but we do know that CHRIST is carrying you and your whole family in his gracious arms and comforting you. Think of the poem "Footprints in the Sand", thats you now. Lean back and rest in the warmth and knowledge of CHRIST's love for you all.
We will continue to pray for all of you and especially for you Tim that there will be a healing touch from GOD and that the doctors will be guided by GOD as to the decisions that have to be made.
One thing that I do know about you, like Jeremy, you will never be quiet about your loving Savior, CHRIST, and all that he means to you.
GOD bless you Tim, Ester and family.
Love in CHRIST

Hi Tim
I just read about your life challenge in the newspaper (finally had a few minutes to catch up). I have observed and interacted with you as a community member kind of on the fringe...my kids have accessed the Hot Spot, gone to Mt. Timothy, that sort of thing. I've also heard of you through other people that I know via my work as a nurse. I wanted to let you know that I admire your gentle and genrous manner which also exudes energy and acceptance and to take the opportunity to send along my best wishes to you and your family for your recovery.

Hey Slim Timmy, Esther & Family,
Just wanted to let you know that we are praying for your complete recovery. You've been such a huge blessing to so many in this community. A scripture I would like to leave with you is Psalm 91:
1 HE who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!
3 For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.
4 [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.
8 Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,
10 There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.
11 For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service].
12 They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot.
14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness--trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.
Sorry to make the message so long but I couldn't leave any of it out. That's my prayer for you Tim. TTYL.

Hi, Tim and Esther!
I've just skimmed through the blog, leaving comments along the way.
Imagine my shock when I opened up The Advisor today and saw the news! (And Art at Flavours said NOTHING when I was in for coffee!)
I hope you are doing well. (I pray -- for what that's worth -- that you're doing well. ;-) ) I also hope and pray that the treatments and everything are positive.
I'll continue to monitor your blog.
Keep us up to date.
Karen
